Thank you for supporting me prayerfully and/or financially as I join Papua Hope Language Institute (PHLI) in January, 2025. I grew up in Papua as a missionaries’ daughter. Through PHLI I hope to bring my past and present experiences to serve their students, many of whom were raised in villages and had to leave home in order to get formal education.
My heart echoes PHLI’s ‘desire to guide students to see God’s love and compassion in their lives, and ...as they complete their education..., [to] take leadership roles in Papuan society.’ Papua is in a politically and developmentally tumultuous time, with certain parts only relatively recently having gained access to the modern world, including challenges like the internet, AIDS, and drugs. So Papua needs wise, just and godly leaders!
At PHLI, I will be a Student Facilitator, preparing these future leaders for the huge cultural transition to university overseas by teaching English and academic skills, supporting them in dorm life, and prayerfully mentoring them in their faith in Christ Jesus.
Two fun facts about me - I’ve been called a ‘fish’ because of my love for swimming; and recently, I created a sculpture that reassures me of God’s being (as entitled) ‘With me, Leading me’.
Partner with our International staff by supporting them financially and through prayer. Your ministry partnership with our International workers allows them to continue to pour into young lives here at Papua Hope through academic education, spiritual discipleship, and identity building.
Thank you for your generosity!
